Part V
Hanging in silent
fear
A pair of eyes
followed them
All the way
Past the stone gate
And down the circular
path
Which creaked in the
breeze
In a path
Where nothing
Should be blowing
Cushioned in swollen
landscapes
Leading towards the
throne
And with which she
knew
Things would never
Be the same again
No matter what they
said
Whether good or bad.

Part V (B)
The original myth dates back
All the way back to 1642
And the loss of two twin babes
Into a nearby sewer
Dropped by a drunken innkeeper
Showing off to the excited mother
Who was hung within hours
And never seen again
But instead of dying
Survived much to the surprise
Of half forgotten history books
And did the impossible
Draping in terrible surprises
Beating on sewers
For decades to come
Then centuries
Fusing myths together
Battered together by time
Dancing underneath your feet
In a murmured tease
Deprived of light
But caught in a bowstring
Of a terrible war
Tapping on the pipes
And metal handcuffs
Found tied on river locks
Minus their victims
With
only a rats tail left. ***
Ghost Dancer
We danced to Cuban rhythms
Late into the night
I twirled my skirts in girlish glee
Giggling in delight
My heart it started pounding
As you held me tight
I waited for the kiss
That would bring me back to life
Then
Brutally it struck me
At the stroke of midnight
You were just an apparition
Your kiss turned into frostbite
A phantom on the dance floor
A cruel trick of the light
You melted into nothing
Just a shadow in the moonlight
